Location: Leeds with travel to our sites in London and Hampshire

We are the national museum of arms and armour with a collection which is housed and displayed in three museums at the Tower of London, Fort Nelson near Portsmouth and our purpose-built museum in Leeds. Our museums welcome almost two million visitors a year and we would like to build our audiences through our display interpretation.

This is a key role for us which will help us to deliver on our ambitions at a time of significant change for us. As Head of Interpretation you will lead the creative development and delivery of our exhibition, interpretation and gallery improvement programme across our three sites. You will manage a small team of professionals to work collaboratively with others across the organisation to develop interpretation which places the needs of audiences at its heart.

You will have significant experience of managing complex and high quality display and exhibition programmes for diverse audiences to time and budget.

The post, which is full-time, will be based at our headquarters in Leeds, but will involve extensive travel to our other sites. Some evening, weekend and bank holiday working may be required.
