The British Museum’s Information Services department are recruiting an Administrator to carry out administrative and other support duties as required in the Information Services department.

Key areas of responsibility:

In this role you will get involved in a range of administrative duties. This will include, but will not be limited to, planning and arranging meetings, preparing detailed and accurate paperwork, taking full and accurate minutes of sensitive meetings. Your duties will range from providing general administration support, logging and tracking service desk requests, invoice processing to providing administrative support at meetings.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will be highly organised and educated to GCSE level (or equivalent). You will have previous experience in an administrative role. Good time management, organisation and communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will have experience in the writing of basic business documents (this may include meeting minutes, briefing notes, desk procedures), have a good eye for detail when carrying out routine tasks and must have excellent communication skills.
