Job Outline

This is an exciting opportunity to work with an innovative and exciting programme, including London based, regional, national and also International projects.

The role has three key areas of responsibility:
• Exhibition Touring Programme
• Collections Loans
• Audience and Partner Evaluation

As Touring and Loans Manager, you have responsibility for the successful agreement, delivery and installation of touring exhibitions and loans through co-ordination and administration of collections loans activity. You are charged with working to best practice in the areas of loans and touring activity.

The post holder is the contact for venues and partners engaged with the Crafts Council Exhibition and Loan Initiatives.

Knowing our audiences and understanding different venue audiences is critical to our role in delivering Art For All. You will be responsible for the collation of all evaluation and statistical and audience/project relevant information to capture and demonstrate the impact of the Crafts Council’s programme, contributing to reports for stakeholders, funders and the Board of Trustees.

The post holder with negotiate and agree terms for loans of works from the Crafts Council Collections, working closely with all team members and across the organisation as required.

The role will require strong communication skills and have a focus on relationship building and maintenance, ensuring that all venues are suitable and capable of hosting a Touring exhibition, and ensuring all logistics such as technicians, transport and packing are in place.

The post holder must be confident to work independently, in collaboration or in partnership with others to develop the programme, including internal working groups and with external/ stakeholders.

Management responsibilities for loans and touring delivery budgets- expenditure and income (from loan, hire and associated fees and costs), and line management of Touring and Loans Co-ordinator.
