This fixed-term Grade B post will work as part of the curatorial team responsible for the Library’s western manuscript collections (1601-1950). The post-holder will contribute to the full range of work within the team, including managing acquisitions, cataloguing and collection management, and contributing to public and academic engagement programmes. They will also contribute to the management of digitisation, helping to develop the section’s contribution to the Heritage Made Digital strand of Library strategy.



We are looking for candidates with experience of working with manuscript and archive collections in a professional context, including undertaking cataloguing and collection management and public access and promotion work. Good digital skills are essential, including an excellent knowledge of relevant standards and digital formats and experience of managing digital projects and/or collections. Good team working and time management skills are also essential
