Are you great with people and passionate about the arts? The Barber Institute of Fine Arts – the Heart of England’s own mini National Gallery, with a world-class art collection, concert hall and programme – is looking for a membership officer with excellent communications, events experience, organisational skills and an eye for detail to help run and grow its thriving membership organisation.

The membership officer will:
• Manage and respond to membership enquiries from current Members, Patrons and potential members
• Manage and deliver new membership and renewal processes, including the timely production of welcome packs, letters, invitations and membership cards. Maintain membership renewal activity
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and meticulous membership information on databases, using the Association spreadsheet and email databases
• Work collaboratively with DARO colleagues to ensure Association data is maintained accurately, effectively and compliantly
• Support the Communications and Marketing Manager, and work with other colleagues (Director, curators, University Music team, Department of Art History etc) in originating, planning, delivering and evaluating stimulating and cost-effective events snd activities and for the membership and for recruitment purpose
• Collaborate with other galleries and museums regionally and around the UK to organise trips for members and Patrons
• With the Communications and Marketing Manager, plan, draft, deliver and evaluate a broad range of Association communications and marketing materials – both print and digtal, including letters, invittions, newsletters, recruitment leaflets, e-mails, web pages and social media)
