The British Museum is developing a masterplan for the renewal of its entire estate. We are seeking to recruit to an exciting new role which will coordinate masterplan activities and communications across the Museum.

Key areas of responsibility:

The Masterplan Coordination Manager will develop and manage the delivery of a strategy for internal and external stakeholder liaison. They will work closely with existing relationship owners and, where appropriate, represent the Museum and build positive new relationships.

The role will provide effective stakeholder research and analysis, and prepare briefings for meetings and events. Ensuring consistent and appropriate communications about the masterplan will be a key part of the role, as will guiding masterplan projects through governance arrangements.

Person specification:

The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree or equivalent, and a project management qualification or equivalent experience. They will have excellent judgement and a strategic approach and will be a strong communicator with experience in writing briefings, papers and strategy documents. They will have held a role within the public sector, charity or private sector company where they have been responsible for managing projects and key relationships. We are looking for an independent, motivated individual who will be able to shape this new role as the masterplan develops.
