Stewardship Officer

Stewardship Officer
Employer: The British Museum
Salary: £29,227
Location: London

The British Museum has a new and exciting opportunity for a Stewardship Officer to design and implement enhanced stewardship strategies for the Museum’s growing pool of private individual donors.

In this diverse role, you will work closely with the Head of Major Gifts and Patrons and the Major Gifts Manager to ensure the highest standard of donor care; through effective stewardship, thanking, reporting and acknowledgment of gifts. In addition, you will co-design and deliver bespoke stewardship plans for the Museum’s Major Donors, and work with colleagues across the Museum to identify exceptional and thoughtful stewardship opportunities for the Museum’s most significant supporters.

With an undergraduate degree, or equivalent, the successful candidate will be able to combine compelling writing skills with a creative flare, as well as a methodical approach to donor stewardship. We are also looking for someone who has experience of working with multiple private donors or on large, complex projects.

We are interested in hearing from candidates with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, who are highly motivated and able to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines. You will be diplomatic, enjoy working collaboratively, and have a strong interest in the work of the British Museum.
