Client Project Manager

Client Project Manager
Employer: National Collections Centre - Wroughton
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000
Location: Wroughton

Are you a confident natural leader with the ability to deliver complex projects on programme against tight budgets, building relationships across an organisation? Do you enjoy being the driving force behind a high-pressure project, and helping to transform conflicting needs into practical outcomes?

The Science Museum Group is delivering its largest and most ambitious programme in recent times; One Collection will transform how we care for, access and share our internationally significant collection with the world. Over the next four years we will transport 320,000 objects from West London to a new purpose-built collection management facility at our National Collections Centre (NCC) in Wiltshire. This new facility, Building ONE, will house over 80% of the Science Museum Group Collection, and from 2023 will open regularly through a varied programme of public tours, school and research visits.

In order to be ready to open Building ONE in 2023, we will develop and deliver a portfolio of ancillary projects at the NCC, including a new entrance, visitor hub and staff accommodation. As Client Project Manager, you will have responsibility for this portfolio, managing the project teams, programmes, budgets and deliverables. This role is broad ranging, responsible and influential. You will act on initiative to identify key issues and areas of work, and drive through decisions and activities to a successful and timely conclusion.

You will work closely with the Project Director and senior museum colleagues to ensure that the projects meet their agreed aims and objectives. You'll coordinate the internal project team across the group to ensure that decision making is effective and that all museum activities for projects are planned and delivered within the parameters of the brief, programme and budget.
