Community Fundraising Executive

Community Fundraising Executive
Employer: English Heritage
Salary: £31,500 - £34,000
Location: London

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic community fundraising specialist to lead local fundraising activity across English Heritage's historic sites. This is a 10 month fixed term contract (with potential for extension to 13 months) commencing August 2019. The role is based in our London office, but with regular travel to our regional offices and the spectacular historic sites in our care.

English Heritage tells the stories of England through the 420 sites and 500,000 paintings and artefacts in our care. From Stonehenge to Hadrian's Wall, Dover Castle to Iron Bridge, our sites span some six millennia and are visited by more than 10 million people each year. We need you to join us and help deliver the most ambitious fundraising initiative ever undertaken by a heritage organisation in the UK.

Based in the Private Philanthropy team, but working closely with colleagues in the Corporate Partnerships, Grants & Trusts and Volunteering teams, the Community Fundraising Executive will work with staff at English Heritage sites, volunteers and local stakeholders to grow community fundraising activity through coordinated and sustainable activities.

You'll be playing a critical part in realising the full potential of community fundraising within the charity and building a sustainable income stream for the future. We have an extraordinary opportunity in that our sites sit directly at the heart of the communities with which we want to build strong and enduring relationships.
