For new internal candidates (this includes staff employed directly by IWM and agency workers temping with IWM) to be eligible for vacancies you must have successfully completed your probation period or have been working with us for 6 months.

This is a 23 month fixed term contract.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Officer to join the Imperial War Museums. You will work closely with a HR Business Partner providing comprehensive HR support in all aspects of the employee life cycle. Your role will cover the full spectrum of HR activities with emphasis on operational and transactional support, but your day-to-day tasks will include elements of Employee Relations processes, supporting managers with recruitment, training and development, performance and absence management or change management activities.

As a HR Officer you will be responsible for ensuring that transactional HR functions run smoothly, acting as the first point of call for support to managers and colleagues on HR related queries. You will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all pay, pensions, recruitment and training related information for staff at IWM.

You will also have opportunities to get involved in reviewing and developing HR policies and procedures, managing projects and supporting the team in other HR initiatives.
