Salary: £17,241
Location: London

Become part of an expanding team at the cutting edge of citizen science and educational research!

The Natural History Museum is one of the world’s leading museums, internationally recognised for its dual role as a centre of excellence in scientific research and as a leader in the presentation of natural history through exhibitions, public programmes, publications and the web.

We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to lead the LEARN CitSci project, a large-scale multi-partner international collaboration of citizen science practitioners and educational researchers. LEARN CitSci is one of five Science Learning + awards, jointly funded by Wellcome, National Science Foundation, and Economic and Social Research Council. This four-year programme of research (2017-2021) aims to better understand the learning outcomes and impacts of participation in citizen science projects for young people aged 5-19 years.

This is a solutions-focussed role with you delivering highly effective administrative and communications support for the partnership. This will involve organising team meetings, managing relationships with external Advisory Board members, stakeholders and funders, and liaising with colleagues both within the Natural History Museum and across the partnership (US and UK partners) to ensure successful internal and external communications. There will also be an element of tracking research data collection and processing to ensure safeguarding for youth participants and timely analysis by research teams.

You should have experience of working in an administrative job (preferably within the Higher Education, charitable or related sectors) together with proven experience of working independently and as part of a team. You will have proficient computer skills, an eye for detail and will be able to work to deadlines. You will be committed to the delivery of successful projects and have a “can do” approach.
