An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Filming Officer to coordinate a variety of filming requests at the British Museum, including documentaries, TV dramas, advertising shoots, and Hollywood feature films.

The post-holder will process all film and sound recording requests and supervise filming on site. You will build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to convert requests for filming activity into active revenue-generating projects. This role will also involve maintaining an archive of footage shot at the Museum by external parties and keeping a log of all footage generated.

The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting with film and TV production, as well as archiving and digital librarianship. Experience of sales and licensing deals in the media space, and knowledge of copyright issues including PSI, is desirable.

We are looking for an individual with a practical, reliable and conscientious approach to work, who has a demonstrable interest in the British Museum and its collection. You will have strong planning and organisation skills, with experience of managing financial transactions.
