The British Museum is looking for a Project Curator to support the Looking East exhibition project team, working closely with the Lead Curator in the development and delivery of the exhibition and publication.

In this role, you will manage and file project documentation and correspondence, as well as obtaining necessary information on loans through liaising with lenders and International and Departmental loans officers. In addition, you will track and monitor the movement of British Museum objects for the exhibition between departments, as well as assisting the Lead Curator with background research, picture research and picture acquisition for the exhibition and publication. You will have the opportunity to support the Lead Curator in providing gallery tours and other related public programming activities for the exhibition as required.

With a degree in a relevant subject (or equivalent), we are looking for someone with a high proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience managing digital imagery. With excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English, you will also have good writing, proofing and editing skills.

The successful candidate will be an excellent team player, and someone that thrives off of a challenge. You will also be skilled at assessing priorities and meeting deadlines, and will be a diplomatic individual with strong communication skills at all levels.
