Salary: £34,106 pa progressing to £38,052 pa (pro rata for part-time)
Location: London

Based at the Register Office Block, County Hall, Pegs Lane, Hertford, SG13 8EJ this post can also accommodate some work from home. Travel across Hertfordshire is required, occasionally within the Eastern region.

As Museums Development Officer for Hertfordshire you will be working with a wide range of museums across the county, including volunteer run and those with professional staff. Good knowledge and experience of delivering museum services and a comprehensive knowledge of current issues, national initiatives and programmes impacting on the museums sector is essential.

Excellent communication skills are key to this job with the ability to work with trustees, volunteers, councillors, local authority officers and all staff. You will have excellent organisational and project management skills and will able to develop partnerships and projects to support museums in developing new audiences and raising standards. This is a very interesting and rewarding job for someone who has vision and drive to make things happen.
