To sustain and develop the existing high quality volunteer programme for Kenilworth Castle, managing the recruitment, training, support, retention and recognition of volunteers engaged in all areas of English Heritage's work at Kenilworth Castle. To ensure all aspects of the volunteer programme are delivered to time, budget and quality. As well as this there will be duty management responsibility for the site to act as a support to the other supervisors and the operations manager.

In this role you will manage, develop and lead the volunteer team, to ensure exemplary levels of customer service and presentation are achieved. To manage the recruitment, placement, and induction of volunteers, developing opportunities for diversifying and building new audiences through volunteer recruitment. To recruit and retain the necessary numbers of volunteers to ensure effective operations at Kenilworth Castle and manage the volunteer rota on a day-to-day basis.

To manage volunteer information using the English Heritage volunteer database. This includes monitoring KPI performance and adhering to data protection protocol. To foster a positive atmosphere of shared ambition and success amongst the volunteer and staff team. lead and motivate volunteers, monitoring volunteering activities and implementing a reward and recognition process.

You'll have experience of delivering excellent customer service with proven experience of working as part of a team. You will have experience of managing/working with volunteers. Proven staff or volunteer supervision and day to day site responsibilities. excellent communication skills and the ability to build and main excellent customer relations, demonstrating enthusiasm for the role, the property and the work of English Heritage.
