Education Marketing Executive
Employer: The Engine House
Salary: £29,000
Location: Swindon

Are you looking for the next step in your marketing career? English Heritage cares for over 400 historic monuments, buildings and sites. Through these, we bring the story of England to life for over 10 million visitors each year. Our free education visits programme and award winning expert-led Discovery Visits provide unique and memorable learning experiences for thousands of school pupils across the country. We want to continue to grow awareness of the rich education experience we offer through our sites and activities and increase the numbers of schoolchildren we engage with. If you are an experienced, passionate education marketing professional who can help us achieve this then this is the role for you.

This is a great opportunity to market and promote our education visits offer and inspire the educational leaders that bring their students to visit our properties every year, providing them with lasting memories of their school trip.

You'll be part of an enthusiastic and motivated team reporting to our National Education Marketing Manager, and working closely with our Education Visits Officers and Learning Team who are responsible for educational programmes and resources at our properties.

Your role will be focused on creating and delivering engaging marketing campaigns in order to engage with teachers and educational leaders. You'll be marketing directly to teachers, schools and other education providers, using a variety of on and offline channels including social media to develop and implement engaging campaigns throughout the year.

You will have experience of creating engaging campaign able content and delivering informative education marketing campaigns with cut-through using the full marketing mix across owned, paid for, on and offline channels; all based on insight of the relevant education audiences you are aiming to reach.

As the role involves working collaboratively across many departments and building relationships with potential partners, you'll have a natural ability to work with a wide range of people with persuasiveness and sensitivity.

Bringing great energy and expertise to the job, you'll be helping thousands of young people to enjoy an exciting, inspiring encounter with England's fascinating past.

The job also requires the post-holder to have significant up to date knowledge of our education offer and to fully understand the education experience at our sites, as well as keeping in regular contact and meeting other members of the education team as well as external agencies, so you will need to undertake regular travel and work from other offices and sites as required. This role will be based in Swindon. Home-working or an alternative central office will be considered, however the post-holder will have to commit to at least one day a week in our Swindon office.

No matter what you do or where you do it, by joining us you'll be playing a vital role in looking after some of the greatest places in England so that they can be enjoyed today and for generations to come. You'll find it's a workplace like no other - taking you behind the scenes of these extraordinary sites and supporting you to share your ideas, inspire others and make a difference.

A competitive salary and benefits package is on offer including a generous pension, 25 days leave a year and free entry to all English Heritage properties for you, another adult and up to 6 children (under the age of 19).

This role will require regular travel across the territory and a full driving licence is essential.
