The Artist in Residence at HMP Grendon is managed by Ikon and funded by the Marie-Louise von Motesiczky Charitable Trust. The Trust hopes that the experience of having a practising artist working in the prison community will offer people an insight into how professional artists work, as well as adding an enriching creative element. The aims of the residency are as follows:

To produce high quality artwork

To strengthen the arts provision at HMP Grendon

To engage with the ethics and practices of HMP Grendon

To contribute towards Ikon’s public programme, and other forums, on the social and therapeutic value of the arts
