Northern School of Contemporary Dance, one of the UK’s leading centres for professional contemporary dance education and training, is seeking to appoint a:

Technical Manager (VERVE & Student Projects)

The post is responsible for the production and tour management of NSCD’s postgraduate company, VERVE. The postholder is expected to work off-site during the period of the VERVE tour. Other technical duties will include supporting the School’s own theatre activities and overseeing the technical support of postgraduate courses in the Summer term.

Working alongside the VERVE Artistic Director and Programme Leader and choreographers, the post holder will be responsible for creating lighting design and lighting plans, liaising with the secured performance tour venues to ensure all necessary arrangements are set in place in a timely manner, and coordinating all technical aspects of performances whilst on tour in the UK and Europe.

Hours of work: Full-time contract for 1 year.
Minimum of 40 hours per week (to include flexible hours, involving evenings and weekends, on and off-site working)

Remuneration: £19,102 - £24,939 per annum, for the duration of the fixed term contract.

Contract: Fixed Term for 1 year.
