Watts Gallery Trust, a registered charity, is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Development Assistant to work within its ambitious fundraising team.

About Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village:
The Artists’ Village is an extraordinary place. Nestled in the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is a stone’s throw from Guildford and close to London. Over recent years, the Artists’ Village has grown from a quiet rural gallery to a cultural powerhouse.

Each year 65,000 people visit the site: gallery, chapel, house, studio, pottery and woodlands. They come to see our critically acclaimed exhibitions and to take part in our innovative events programme and award winning learning programme.

About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Development Assistant to work within a committed fundraising team, delivering practical and essential support to the organisation. In addition to performing administrative tasks and managing our database, you will manage our Patrons and Adopt a Watts schemes, and arrange and support fundraising activities through campaigns and events to meet income targets.

This role is essential to raising the funds we need to protect and preserve our heritage and support those most in need in our community through our outreach programme.
You will:
- Be a self-motivated team player who is committed to a career in development and fundraising
- Enjoy an energetic role with the opportunity to gain experience
- Have an excellent eye for detail
- Have previous fundraising experience
- Have a passion for art, heritage and culture
