As a project manager perhaps already working in Construction how would you like to come and work on our unique portfolio of Historic Buildings and Monuments on a daily basis.

Joining our Estates Department and based in the territory office at York, you will play your part in helping to support the teams who maintain, repair and improve the historic and iconic buildings English Heritage cares for.

The Maintenance Project Manager's primary objective is the delivery of a range of projects focusing on either infrastructure improvement or on the maintenance, conservation and repair of our buildings, monuments and landscapes. Through careful planning and project management you will ensure they are run to time, within budget and the expected high quality standards we require.

You will have a passion for historic buildings and monuments and understand the specialist care and attention they require. Your comprehensive Project Management skills and understanding of the Historic & Conservation Build environment will stand you in good stead. You will be working with important historic properties many of them listed as well as scheduled monuments.

You will have a passion for working with others and enjoy being a part of a busy team with changing priorities. As a confident communicator, you will be comfortable building rapport with a wide variety of teams across the business.

As a natural problem solver, you will seek to use your initiative to overcome practical issues that come up. With the ability to follow processes and procedures you will also have the flexibility to be able to manage the unexpected when it arises.

You will hold either a minimum HND/C or NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a building/construction related discipline and/or equivalent experience.
