Company Overview:

Access Creative College is the UK’s leading creative college offering learning and employability for all ages of UK and international students. We develop our student’s creativity, intellect and vocational ambition through broad, relevant engagement with a creative curriculum. To do this, we need enthusiastic, talented people to engage with young people and motivate them to use their newfound skills in a productive and useful way.

Overall Purpose of the post

This summer we are delivering three weeks of Games Design courses at renowned summer adventure camp, PGL. We are looking for Games Design Tutors to facilitate week long structured beginner’s media courses in video games production taking place over a 3 week period in the summer.

We are looking for someone who is creative, passionate about games design, adaptable, flexible, easy-going, articulate and open-minded; who can teach and

instruct 10-16-year-olds and enjoys working with young people. You will be away with another tutor, working on one of the most creative multimedia projects offered in the UK.

You will be away on location for the full 3 weeks and all of your travel, food and accommodation will be covered.

Full teaching experience and qualifications are not necessary (but would be an advantage), but you must be able to pass on substantial knowledge and teach at both formal and informal levels. You will also be required to complete a DBS check before work can start.

You will be fully trained and will initially work closely with Access Creative College's Head Tutors to ensure you are ready to teach and lead on the programmes. This is a great opportunity to get into a new career; some of our tutors from last year’s PGL delivery now work on contracts with Access Creative College throughout the year.
