Learning Volunteer Engagement Manager

Learning Volunteer Engagement Manager
Employer: Natural History Museum
Salary: £28,241 per annum plus benefits
Location: London

The Natural History Museum’s purpose is to challenge the way people think about the natural world – its past, present and future. It aims to stimulate public debate about humanity’s future and equip audiences at every level with an understanding of science.

Learning Volunteers are crucial to this vision, helping to bring the galleries to life by delivering a variety of specimen-based learning experiences across the Museum. Being a mutually beneficial programme, learning volunteers have access to a lively and varied programme of role-related training and enrichment opportunities. The Natural History Museum has a rich and longstanding relationship with volunteers – they are an integral part of the Museum as a learning organisation. They enhance our capacity, help deliver corporate goals and contribute positively to our diversity and culture.

As one of a team of three, the Learning Volunteer Engagement Manager will be required to develop and maintain programme activities, contribute to a rolling programme of recruitment, training and enrichment for the volunteers and manage the day-to-day operations of the programme to a high standard.
