We are seeking an experienced Assistant Curator to play a key role in the Curatorial Team here at Watts Gallery - Artists' Village. The successful candidate will assist with the development of exhibitions and interpretation, engaging the widest range of audiences with the art and ideas of G F and Mary Watts. They will also be central in enhancing the care and documentation of the collections, library and archive.

Key Accountabilities
Work with the Curatorial Team and external specialists to develop and deliver a programme of high-profile exhibitions.
Maintain, research and develop the historic galleries and permanent collection.
Work with the Marketing, Learning and Commercial teams to ensure the exhibitions programme is effectively communicated within and beyond the organisation.
Work with the Curator to develop Exhibition Business Plans.
Participate in the Curatorial Team's ongoing public engagement including talks, tours and visitor enquiries.
Develop content for digital engagement with the collection.
Work with, support and train volunteers.
Work with the Curatorial and Estates teams to monitor and maintain optimum environmental conditions.
Maintain and enhance the care and documentation of the collections and archive.
Lead on a project to catalogue and accession the archive.
Respond quickly and effectively to public enquiries.
Manage the loans programme.
Contribute to the Trust's role as convener for the international Artist's Studio Museum Network.
Carry out other related work as required by the Curator or Director.
