Employer: Royal Museums Greenwich
Salary: £27,000.00 - £35,000.00
Location: London

This is a diverse and challenging post that will appeal to those who have a real passion for museums, interpretation and the display of material culture.

A key objective for this role is to help deliver a series of forthcoming temporary exhibitions and a transformative programme of Enrichment at the National Maritime Museum in preparation of our new galleries opening in September 2018.

The Exhibitions Interpretation Curator works with colleagues from across the museum to research, develop and evaluate displays, taking a lead role in exhibition interpretation using a wide variety of techniques. Liaising across the Division of Collections and Public Engagement, with Research Curators, Designers and Learning specialists is particularly important, as are the relationships built with external partners and key stakeholders. The post holder will also work closely with internal and external designers throughout the design process, ensuring that displays are realised to the highest standards and that communication with our visitors is effective and meaningful.

This post requires an experienced and enthusiastic team-player, able to think creatively and use their own initiative, with a good understanding of the best practice with regards to museum exhibitions and display.
