The British Museum is seeking an Administrator to provide administrative support to the department of Asia, including managing the Keeper’s diary and providing support for the departmental library and archive.

In this diverse role, the post-holder will respond to requests and correspondence on behalf of the department, providing support to the Study Room and scheduling meetings, amongst other duties. You will meet and greet a variety of visitors, ensuring to best represent the interests of the department and wider Museum.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable secretarial or administrative experience, with IT literacy including experience of using databases and Microsoft Office. Educated to GCSE level, or equivalent, an interest in Asian history, archaeology or art would be desirable.
