The National Gallery is seeking a data-entry assistant to two editors to work on its Collection Information Project, to take unstructured information in a variety of formats and enter it onto computer in a structured form, either directly into the Gallery`s collections management system, TMS, or into separate spreadsheets or databases for import into or integration with TMS and other Gallery systems.

We are looking for someone with significant practical experience of museum documentation work, including data-entry in accordance with established guidelines, using a digital museum collections management system; demonstrably immaculate data entry skills with excellent consistency and attention to detail in all aspects of work, combined with an ability to follow guidelines and procedures precisely and consistently and the ability to undertake repetitive tasks without loss of productivity or quality; and an informed interest in the history of European painting c.1200-c.1900.

This fixed-term post is for a period of 12 months.
