NVA has produced an ambitious scheme to reclaim the future of the world-renowned St Peter’s Seminary, an iconic modernist ruin in Argyll and Bute, and the surrounding woodland of Kilmahew. An innovative approach to heritage conservation will combine the consolidation of the building in its current state of ruination with partial restoration and new design.

Using our existing collection as a starting point the curator will create a framework for organising and cataloguing the collection, and manage the process of acquiring new materials including the commissioning of artworks that will form part of the heritage interpretation for St Peter’s.

Key outputs of the role also include creating strong and engaging interpretation narratives that will inform the exhibitions and interpretive materials at St Peter’s, and developing these for inclusion in text panels, website text, audio and digital interpretation.
