At the National Railway Museum, part of the Science Museum Group, we are committed to sharing over 300 years of authentic railway history, inspiring diverse audiences with the engineering that shapes our modern world.

To support us in this mission, we are looking for an Interpretation Developer to join us on a 12-month, fixed-term contract.

In this role, you will ensure the development of a memorable exhibition, designing a creative and audience focused interpretation strategy that ignites curiosity. The exhibition, Engineered, will be the museum's first internationally-touring exhibition, featuring loans from across the UK and beyond.

Joining us, you will have developed interpretation for creative projects or inspiring exhibitions. You will also have excellent communication skills in writing for different media sources as well as when working with diverse teams, including external designers and contractors, all working towards a shared goal.
