Historic Royal Palaces (HRP) is an independent, self-funded charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Banqueting House, Kensington Palace, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle in Northern Ireland.
HRP is seeking an innovative and passionate Digital Channel Manager to help take the palaces and their many fascinating stories to the wider world.
In this role, you will have responsibility for the development, production and delivery of all digital products within the HRP Visitor Journey on-site across all palaces, including the Digital Visitor Guide and the Wi-Fi landing pages. You will ensure that each product is delivered within a defined period of time, to agreed project specifications, and to budget. You will be responsible for ensuring that the products are scoped, planned and scheduled with achievable and realistic milestones, and that these products are delivered to HRP and our visitors.
Working closely with in-house technical support, 3rd party software developers and technical hardware providers, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the productions budget and will report status to the Head of Digital Transformation, as well as Digital Channel Owners, as required.

In order to succeed in the role, you will need to have excellent communication skills with the ability to use your in-depth market and business knowledge to work collaboratively with internal customers. Demonstrable experience in the project management and production and delivery of apps and of other digital products is essential. You will enhance the digital experience for our visitors by taking an audience-focused approach to support the aims of HRP’s Digital Strategy.
You will use your sound leadership skills to manage the on-site production team, ensuring that they have a balanced workload and that productions are appropriately staffed. You will be able to make timely decisions and put in place the resources and processes required to enable the smooth and efficient running of the teams.
