The Role

Are you a curator or museum professional passionate about changing the way our society engages with food?
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Jeremy Coller Foundation on their mission to address the consequences of factory farming for animal welfare, human health and global sustainability.

Industrial farming is one of the worst crimes in history.
The Foundation, a world leader in research and development on ending factory farming, is looking for a curator to deliver a dynamic and highly interactive exhibition with a specific focus on sustainable food production and consumption.
The exhibition will utilise cutting edge technology and innovative display techniques to engage the visitor on this critical issue.

The successful candidate is required to work across multiple areas of exhibition development.

The role entails liaising with the Foundation to define the themes and mission, and implementing Vastari's market research findings into exhibition production.
Excellent administration, organisation, communication skills and a commitment to the cause will be essential.


Key responsibilities

Working alongside the foundation to define the exhibition concept

Selecting and sourcing the exhibits to be displayed

Defining the narrative of the exhibition

Defining the layout of the exhibition

Defining the graphic identity of the exhibition

Implementing the results of Vastari's market research to:

Define messaging of the exhibition based on target audience

Define how to best utilise new technologies and interactives for audience engagement

Prepare proposal and documentation for partner venues

Prepare an exhibition catalogue

Organising an educational programme to enhance audience engagement

Organising an events programme to enhance audience engagement


Requirements

A leader with a strong track record in communication and advocacy including taking the lead on external contacts, media relations and potential partners

A dynamic approach to raising awareness about food production and consumption; making it relevant to the broadest possible audience

Previous experience is delivering interactive exhibitions would be beneficial

Knowledge of and/or an interest in new technologies including VR and augmented reality would be beneficial


Salary

Between £40,000-80,000, based on experience.
This would be a full-time role, on a 1-year contract.
