Historic Royal Palaces is the independent charity that looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, the Whitehall Banqueting House, Kew Palace, and Hillsborough Castle. We help everyone explore the story of how monarchs and people have shaped society in some of the greatest palaces ever built.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced curator to work in our historic buildings and research team which sits within the HRP Curators’ team. The post is part-time (0.5 Full Time Equivalent) and will support the roles of the Head of Research, and the Curator of Historic Buildings for Hampton Court Palace, while they undertake academic research. It will be based at Hampton Court Palace, but some travel to our other London palaces will be expected.

Minimum RequirementsThe successful candidate will have experience of working as a curator in a heritage or museums environment and must have good knowledge of architectural history and conservation best practice. You will hold a post-graduate qualification in history, architectural history, archaeology, architectural conservation or an equivalent subject. You will also have undertaken post-graduate level research in a heritage, museums or academic role and will have an interest in the place of research in the heritage sector.
